How to Protect your Children from Infection

There are several ways to protect your children from infections:

a.                 Encourage hand hygiene: Teach your children to wash their hands frequently, especially before eating, after using the toilet, after sneezing, coughing, or blowing their nose, and after playing outside.

b.                Practice respiratory hygiene: Teach your children to cover their mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing, and to dispose of the tissue immediately. If a tissue is not available, teach them to cough or sneeze into their elbow or sleeve.

c.                 Vaccinations: Make sure your children receive all the recommended vaccinations. Vaccinations can protect your child from many serious infectious diseases.

d.                Good nutrition: A healthy diet can help boost your child's immune system, making them less susceptible to infections.

e.                 Avoid sick people: Encourage your child to stay away from people who are sick, and teach them to avoid touching their face, especially their eyes, nose, and mouth, as this can spread germs.

f.                  Clean and disinfect: Keep your home and your child's toys clean and disinfected regularly.

g.                 Stay home when sick: Teach your child to stay home when they are sick, and avoid contact with others until they are feeling better.

2.      By following these simple steps, you can help protect your children from infections and keep them healthy.
